Circular Economy

Book seller sold on sustainability

(UK)

A company combing a love of books with leading technology has become a trailblazer for the circular economy.

World of Books uses pioneering technology to scan unwanted books and instantly assess if they have a value and can be resold or whether they need to be recycled. The company reuses and recycles 70 million books annually.

And the UK firm, which is being backed by Bridges Fund Management, is making a global impact – selling nine million books to customers in 90 countries. Books without a resale value are recycled into corrugated cardboard.
