(SCOTLAND)
The annual celebration of cross-sector impact towards the Global Goals is happening in Glasgow on 12 September.
Entries to the awards element of Global Game Changers are up 100% on the inaugural 2017 event, which was held a year after the Global Goals came into force. And the international response to the platform, led by Innovators Magazine and Newsquest Media, has been amazing – with applications submitted from across 12 countries.
There will be a great vegan menu (the choice of Innovators Magazine) available to those who attend the dinner: more it’s vegan ‘with meat options’ than the other way around. And remember: taking the vegan option is the biggest action individuals can take to minimise their impact on the planet, according to researchers from Oxford University.
A food waste pledge will also be made on the night of the ceremony, as the awards strives to make its impact on the Global Goals.
Marc Buckley is giving the keynote; and there will be great cross-sector, international networking opportunities, with some of the team from Innovators Magazine trying out new ways to facilitate connections that can deliver impact towards the
Entertaiment, music and Sustainability Street are other parts of the jigsaw to what promises to be a great night in Scotland’s biggest city.
We will also produce a video from the event, one that will tell a story built on the inspiration in the room, not as a corporate takeaway, but as a communications tool to engage others with the and inspire game changers to accelerate innovation that can help achieve them. We’ll also launch a new communications campaign that asks everyone in the room to take the game changers message to the world.
