Day two of the second annual conference of the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) is underway in Glasgow.

And the day has kicked up with a focus on the of role innovation in the government’s strategy for economic growth, with innovation centres like IBioIC playing an important role in delivering on that strategy.

The biotechnology industry offers huge opportunities for Scotland and the National Plan for Industrial Biotechnology lays out a roadmap for the next decade, with the aim of  generating a turnover of £950 million by 2025.
