App platform provides 20 million meals

Over 20 million meals have been provided to groups worldwide that are on the brink of starvation, thanks to an innovative smartphone app.

Innovators Magazine regularly flags up the milestones achieved by the ShareTheMeal app, which is backed by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). It is contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG2), to zero hunger, by making it easy for people to provide a meal at the tap of button, for just US $0.50. The app can be accessed in 10 languages and accepts 30 currencies.

Congratulations to everyone who has contributed to surpassing the 20 million meal mark.
