An app called Integrity

Our Engagement Lead, Carlotta De Toni, has arrived at Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) 16 of 17 on her Instagram campaign on all things SDGs.

Carlotta came up with the idea to use our relatively new arrival on Instagram as an opportunity to take a journey through all 17, to report inspiring stories – and discuss key issues – around the Goals, to engage the public.

Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions is SDG 16. Check out the posts on this one – like the below…

One target of this SDG is to reduce corruption and bribery in all their forms substantially. The UN developed an App called ‘Integrity’, which aims to give citizens access to World Bank-financed projects and the opportunity to immediately report on concerns of fraud and corruption. Through the app, users can directly send information relevant to Bank-financed projects, e.g. photos of a half-built school or recording of a bribe. In the future, there will also be features to detect the exact location of these projects and QR tags to provide specific information on spending and the project timeline for completion. Mobile Technology is truly revolutionising the way we live, make it easier and more transparent!
