More and more American cities are committing to transitioning to 100% renewable energy.
Cottonwood Heights in Utah is the latest to join this growing club, pledging to move to clean electricity across the city’s operations by 2022, and throughout the community by 2032, the Sierra Club has announced.
“As a city council member of Cottonwood Heights, I couldn’t be more proud of the steps my city is taking to ensure breathable air and a livable environment for our children and grandchildren. I would strongly encourage every city to commit to clean energy by 2032. It’s on the local level where real change happens. We are all in this together,” said Cottonwood Heights Council Member Tali Bruce.
