Accelerating European innovation

Nonprofit Knowledge for Innovation (K4I) is at the heart of efforts to establish a European Innovation Area. With the backing of politicians, it has the support of dozens of MEPs, K4I sits at the crossroads between businesses, startups, academia and wider society. Next month it holds its 11th European Innovation Summit, an event we are media partners with.

“Investing in research and innovation is investing in Europe’s future, in knowledge and new solutions to maintain and improve the European way of life. Horizon Europe is the most ambitious research and innovation programme ever and will keep the EU at the forefront of global research and innovation,” the K4I website states. “Horizon Europe will support European Partnerships to deliver on global challenges and industrial modernisation through concerted R&I effort with the Member States, private sector, foundations and other stakeholders. For the K4I community and in particular those that are part of the planned European Partnerships, in the short term the further negotiations until the adoption and in the long-term the implementation of Horizon Europe, are of major concern. For this reason the topics covered by the 11 EIS Programme are closely linked to the work of the European Partnerships and Missions under the headings of ‘Digital Transformation’, ‘Greening’ and ‘Innovation’.”

The summit runs in the European Parliament, Brussels, from 3-6 February. More on EIS 11…
