Established in 2015, the year the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted, Innovators Magazine is part of the global movement pushing for the swift adoption of innovations that can deliver a sustainable and prosperous world for all. Online we feature the industries and pioneers working to advance that aim, especially those aligned with the SDGs. And we do it in a hybrid way – with stories which speak directly to a business or trade focussed audience, but more generally that will interest the wider public. It is also the place to find things you might have missed on social media: details on livestreams worth watching, initiatives to get involved with, accelerators to apply for, upcoming events. Signing up for our free newsletter is a good way to keep up with all of these ‘Take Action’ stories.

While our quarterly is all about mainstreaming transformative ideas through multi-media communications and events. The platform is also the comms home of the EU Top 50 Startups platform, launched in 2017 as part of the European Innovation Summit. And it is where individuals, businesses and governments can find actionable ideas and opinions on how to harness the disruptive solutions that can lock-in sustainable progress.

We also produce special event editions showcasing the pioneers, companies and locations that are leading by example.

The Magazine is committed to supporting – as well as showcasing – the growth of the innovation economy. In 2016 we launched the Innovation Academy, a consultancy and events business which is all about ‘changing mindsets’ at corporate and government levels, to accelerate the adoption of innovative business models and ideas. While in November 2016, the publication’s co-founder, Susan Robertson, signed the Knowledge for Innovation (K4I) European Pact for Innovation in the European Parliament, to support collaboration – the lifeblood of innovation – across all industries. And in 2017, we launched the Global Game Changers awards, in partnership with The Herald, to celebrate the best of the innovation economy.

We also hosted Glasgow’s first City Climathon in Oct 2017, and signed an MoU to be official media partners with the global climate conference, COP23.
