$1M up for grabs at Startup World Cup

San Francisco will host the Grande Finale of this year’s Startup World Cup.

Early stage companies reshaping industries have been taking part in pitch competitions at 30 locations worldwide in a bid to bag a spot at the May finale, when the selected startups will compete for the chance to secure US$1 million of new investment. There are still a few places to be decided, with applications for regional finals in Finland and Denmark open until 13 April; and until 30 March on the US West Coast.

“Startup World Cup is a global platform that connects startup ecosystems all over the world and creates new opportunities for startups,” explained Anis Uzzaman, Chairman of Startup World Cup and General Partner & CEO of Fenox Venture Capital – which sponsors the event.

Tickets are also available for those who want to attend the Grand Finale at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on 11 May.
